How much dust will be created during stone restoration?
There’s no dust created during the restoration process.
Roth Restoration uses diamond abrasives and water to refinish your surfaces. The process creates a “slurry” (a mix of water and fine stone powder), which is completely cleaned up by technicians during service.
I spilled an acidic cleaner on my marble vanity—can it be repaired?
Yes! Acidic cleaners cause etching, not staining. While sealers protect against stains, they can’t prevent etching.
There’s no need to replace your vanity—Roth Restoration can easily restore it to its original beauty.
For future maintenance, use pH-neutral cleaners from The Stone Care Store to protect your marble surfaces.
What’s the best way to clean my stone surfaces?
Always use pH-neutral or slightly alkaline cleaners. Avoid acidic products, as they can etch or dull your stone.
You’ll find a full range of stone-safe cleaning products in our Shop.

Why should I seal my stone or tile?
Sealing protects against stains and moisture damage. Without a sealer, porous stones can absorb spills instantly.
There are two main types of sealers:
Penetrating Sealers – soak just below the surface, maintaining the natural look.
Surface Sealers – form a protective layer and may enhance color.
The Stone Care Store carries both options, and Roth Restoration can handle professional application.
I’m using travertine in my new bathroom—any precautions?
Travertine is durable but sensitive to acids and stains. Always use a premium sealer and avoid acidic cleaners.
Our travertine-safe cleaning and sealing products are ideal for DIY maintenance, or you can schedule professional sealing with Roth Restoration.
What is efflorescence?
Efflorescence appears as white or yellowish deposits on stone, tile, or pavers. It’s caused by soluble salts rising to the surface through moisture.
While it’s usually easy to clean, prevention is key. Using high-quality sealers from The Stone Care Store helps reduce moisture movement, while Roth Restoration can professionally treat and prevent recurrence.
How often should I reapply my sealer?
It depends on the type of sealer and traffic:
Penetrating sealers: up to 15 years.
Surface sealers: every 1–3 years, depending on wear.
We can help you test your stone to determine when resealing is needed.
For resealing services, contact Roth Restoration for expert application.
Do you sell the same products the professionals use?
Yes! Many of the products used by Roth Restoration are also available for purchase at The Stone Care Store, so you can maintain your stone surfaces between professional services.
